Just had to have one of the alloys on my Exeo Sport refurbished after the mrs kerbed it. The 18s on the sport model seem quite susceptible to damage with the design. Does anyone know of any way to protect them in the future? just came across this site...http://www.alloygator.com/ any one used them before?

cheers

They look pretty good. Wasnt impressed when he was done and it was plain yellow. I thought he was gonna trim it or something, but black is available, so no big deal. I like em

Just to revive this topic, has anyone tried these "alloygater' things.
I have an exeo sport and the 18' wheels seem to be hugley vulnerable.
They must be i've just cliped my n/s front !
Do they work?
Do they look ok?
And, probably most importantly, do they effect the tyres seating on the rim?
If anyone has experience i'd be grateful.

Thanks

Dont know if this has affected others but these roads crumbling since the big snowfall have knackered my alloys big time. I have the 18s on a 170 sport and they have chips all around the edge of the rims. I know I havent curbed them, Im pretty damn careful about that (bit protective about them lol) and try where possible to avoid pot holes, but having looked this weekend, I was gobsmacked at the state of them (Mainly the fronts) I have a work colleague who has the same under the Audi badge and his look like a dogs dinner also.

Just wondered if others had this problem :censored: as I am tempted to have a go at these gator jobbies

Have the same problems here in the Netherlands.
I use the original Seat rims with Winter tires during the winter only because these are damaged anyway.
From Spring until Autumn I have Dezent rims which are painted black on the inside. But even these rims have chip marks but I can easily fix this with some paint.

I damaged my nearside front while parking last night.
I have been so careful these past 3 months, still to look at the damage in daylight but I hope I can polish it up again.

Got some in black and installed them today after damaging my 18" Fenix rims. The Pirelli P0's also has a rim protector but they do not really work. They look okish. I'd rather have my rims in orignal trim.
