hi guys i have here a lovely set of wheels but when fitting the centre bore on the wheels is bigger than the car. they still bolt on but is this dangerous thanks

You need some spigot rings.

should be able to get them from any good tyre or parts place.

Without spigots they'll rattle around on the hub when you hit bumps and stuff, eventually the bolts will give and you'll be cruising with one less wheel.

halfords do spigot rings if you have the make and model of your wheels,
or if you know the centre bore size of the alloys you can go on ebay and search spigot rings from whatever size the bore is to 57.1

Yeah, spigot rings are much cheaper on ebay but you do need to carefully measure the centre bore of the alloy as the size is very precise so you're looking at 10th of mm differences. I've had to sand some down before to get them in the hole!!!

Many sellers will say what alloys the spigot rings will fit anyhow and you can get a full set for less than a tenner, I've seen 'em up for over a fiver each in some wheel places and even then they often have to order them in.
