Altea and Dension Ice link(IPOD ACCESSORY)

Hi folks, just installed a Dension Ice link 100(IPOD ACCESSORY) today and it doesn't appear to be communicating with the main stereo head. It comes with a black wire that is currently disconnected.

I was wondering if this was a ground wire and if so where has it to be connected to,If anyone can help me then please reply.

Hi there,

I installed one a few months back. Yep, the black wire is the ground. All I did was loosen one of the screws on the side of the head unit, loop it around and then retighten the screw. Never had any problems.

By the way, how did you release the head unit?? I got my dealer to do it when it was in for some work last time, but I'm looking to install a bluetooth kit soon and was wondering if there was any easier way??

I've used feeler gauges before !

Worked a treat !!

Used a Small terminal screwdriver. Took care when using it as i didn't want to mark the surround
