Hi all,

I just got this from the dealer :-

Please note Exeos and Exeo Techs (saloon and ST) built between weeks 18 and 26 will not have the standard Factory-fitted satellite-navigation system advertised on the website, due to global supply problems with some of the system’s components due to recent events in Japan.
Seat will fit a replacement Pioneer sat-nav system to all affected vehicles to lessen the effect of these production problems.

I have been advised that the system will still be an Integrated Unit, however not as shown on the Seat Website.

The fully-functional replacement is a Pioneer AVIC-F930BT .

That's what I thought - it supports video playback, and streaming media from your phone. Also it appears to have the maps etc on flash memory rather than taking up the dvd slot - oh - and it's touch screen

If it hooks into the aircon and parking sensors too, that'll be sweet.

I'm just wondering if it would look a bit out of place once it's in the dash.

Thanks for posting this, I am thinking of an aftermarket nav for my Exeo so this could fit the bill, and I assume will integrate well if Seat are going to use it.

Just looked at some vids of this unit, looks awesome.
I do wonder how they will tie it in via the bluetooth kit as it has its own bluetooth phone kit, and wonder how it will link to the DIN, and USB in the glove box.

hmm - interesting ... I guess I will be one of the first to find out in 2 - 3 weeks.

dalepearson,

This is a replacement for the SatNav option, with those you lose the USB in the glovebox and get the Ipod connector instead.

As for the Bluetooth, I'm not sure. I think the Bluetooth was always part of the audio system anyway.

I hope it will still integrate into the dash display between the rev counter and speedo.

Also, the pictures show it with a blue backlight .... I hope you can change it to red to match everything else.

Could we work out a feature comparison ? If it does not integrate as completely as the RNS unit would then I'm not going to be particularly happy with it.

That's probably the one thing it won't do, although I may be wrong...
I would guess that to do that it needs to integrate into the car's CAN bus like the RNS does.
Apart from that it looks a pretty good unit, the touchscreen, and presumably full postcodes, have got to be a plus over the RNS.

I found this on a German site - amongst some pretty angry German comments about the change.

I'm not loving the big border around the unit.
