Aluminium Pedals

I've just received some aluminium pedals from eBay, which numerous people have bought. Has anyone else had the accelerator medal slip off. Can't quite see how to keep it on, ideally I would have thought it would be a few millimetres longer to prevent it slipping off. The brake and clutch ones are fine as they replace the plastic ones and clip to the original holes but the accelerator one just slips over the accelerator pedal.

You need to make sure the edges of the pedal slide inside the lip of the rubber, and that the rubber edge doesn't unfold otherwise it won't wrap around the edges of the pedal. Hope that makes sense.

I haven't had mine slip off but the accelerator pedal did seem a little short when fitting as it didn't quite 'clip' into place. I wasn't exactly expecting oem quality for the price so I'm not too bothered but if it does slip off I'll probably end up trying a few spots of glue/sealant to hold it in place.

I found the accelerator the hardest to fit too, but like Terry says you will need to ensure that the old accelerator pedal fits inside the lips in the corners of the new pedal. Once I was able to get this right it stays on very snug.

The only other thing to consider is that there is a RHD & LHD version of the manual accelerator pedal, perhaps the seller sent you the wrong one if the pedal is not staying put and you have checked the above?

Spent about 10 minutes swearing at it trying to fit it on, then just tried squirting the accelerator pedal cover with a bit of spray and wipe (or you could use soapy water) and it went on in 10 seconds... ;)

Seems there is a couple of choices, anyone fitted either of these?

Can anyone share the link to buy these?

Hi Mate, I bought mine from OEMvag website, here's the Link
When placing the order I specified I needed RHD pedals in the comments section before order was placed, by default they supply the LHD version.

Washing up liquid is good for getting rubbers / pedals on. It evaporates unlike lubes that are designed to stay around, and won't slip around after fitting...

Where did you order from?

I got mine from the same ebay seller a lot of others here did and was sent tracking reference when it was dispatched.

Meppershall Beds.
I remember Prince Philip visiting an electronics factory I worked at, and chatting to a chinese girl called Tippi on the production line, who was soldering components onto a board at a tremendous rate.
"what do you use for flux?", he asked.
"Plix" she said ...

Ok - tenuous link, I grant you, but relevant to the thread.
apologies to our chinese readers.
