To 100K miles in a Leon R that is.

I put it in for the 100K service with 100,091 miles on the clock, not bad when I have to book two weeks in advance and I do in excess of 120 miles a day.
All went through ok, with no problems found!

I just need to get some new tyres soon, for some reason my rears have worn more on the inside edge. I can understand it on the front, but on the rear? I had some new shocks fitted at about 80K, do you think they could be the wrong ones to cause this?

The motor goes just as well now as it did when it loosened up around 30K, and that is 94K with a custom map.

which custom map have you got? credit to the manufacturer (audi) and the chip manuf for not overpowering anything!

What is it like for stone chips? I do 100 mile round trip for work in my LCR and the front isn't looking to cleaver at 51k.. just wander if its mine or I'm just unlucky with stones

The bumper seems to suffer in a different way to the metal bodywork. I use one of those pin touch up pens when I clean the car and notice the chips, but overall the condition is pretty good. The dealer that serviced it said it was in pretty good nick.
The bumper looks a bit like it has been sandblasted ever so slightly, I should get the polish out and then wax it, but it is a bit cold at the moment!
The most damaged bit of the car is the hole I am wearing under my clutch heel in the mat, which is almost through to the rubber backing!

The car was registed December 02 on a 52 plate, however it has never had a 52 plate, just my private one.

Most interesting is your comment about loosening up at 30K, having been jabbad almost from the outset. I too have a black Leon R, which was jabbad at around 8K and has just had its 10K service. Can the car still loosen up after 10K and importantly, is this loosening still evident even after a remap? If so, I better go and get some more miles under my belt - it's already "nippy" to say the least

Mine's done over 60k.

Wear in the carpet mat (under brake though),
Not too many stone chips TBH, although picked up a couple recently,
Paint/Lacquer off the front calipers (DO NOT use a jetwash on your brakes),
Usual corroded badges.
The only interior rattles are the ones that were there from new...

My boot release handle/SEAT badge has started to stick out after being used? It's catching at the top so doesn't always go all the way back. It might return to normal when things warm up outside.

I'm at 76K on my Dec 02 LCR.

The only problem I've got is keeping it going on front brake pads. Still on the original back ones.

The difference I noticed was no so much an increase in power, but more of a willingness to rev. Difficult to explain, the car just felt increasingly more get up and go after about 30K to 35K ish I reckon and has stayed pretty much like that. The only difference I find now is in the quality of the fuel I put in. Optimax seems to be best but to cut a long story (fuel card) I can only use premium unleaded.
It feels about as fast as my 928 when moving, but as I can't race them both at the same time it is difficult to tell. The 928 is much quicker off the line but once moving, about the same I think, although the V8 has a much nicer soundtrack! If the Leon puts a smile on your face when you put your foot down, then the Porsche at least doubles that to crack open your face with the biggest grin in the world.
Saying that I have not found a Leon replacement for every day use yet so it will probably hit at least 160K in my ownership.

Oh and Cuprabob, my rear pads got changed at about 85K and I am currently on my 3rd set of pads on the front and only the front brake disks have been changed (along with a track rod end and both rear shocks).

That's interesting about your rear pads, going by the wear rate i estimate they will need changed somewhere between, 85K-90K. I too am on the 3rd set of pads (4 including the originals) with front discs changed at 60K.

Coincidently I also have had a N/S track rod end replaced but it was done a few years ago under warranty. All my shocks are still original.

Are you still on your original exhaust ?

I got my backbox changed under warranty at the beginning of last year.

Thanks for your reply Pagnobito, I'll look forwards to reaching a higher mileage then; that's if I decide to keep the Leon. I usually have a new car annually, but have just bought a house (first time buyer) so may use the full warranty life to its advantage this time. Oh and you mentioned that your LCR "feels about as fast as my 928 when moving, but as I can't race them both at the same time it is difficult to tell." I'll drive the Porsche if you want to test it!
