Credit card company be the best route i think. Tell them you wish to return the goods and they are refusing to take them back.

If you didnt sign anything to agree that you are not allowed to take them back and you are returning them as new....

guys , thanks for all your help , i eventually got it sorted. id like to say a big thankyou to ben at performance wheels . i cut out the middleman and spoke to ben , he said he would exchange the wheels but i would be losing the commission that the middleman made. however , he then called xxxxx and , i dont know what was said , but xxxx is now sending me a cheque with the money i paid for the wheels. now ive ordered the right wheels (will get some pics up) and they should be here this week. only got one more problem, i wanted toyo r888 s as the car is not gonna be ready till summer, and will be used for weekend blasts , however someone suggested yokohama pradas? theyre cheaper like, but wondered if anyone has any experience with these tyes as i havent heard of them before?

thanks again for the advice

Well I think you've been very lucky there. I can see it from the suppliers side that they've accepted an order in good faith, told you that they might not fit, gone to the trouble of ordering the goods in, packing and shipping them only for you to want to send them back.
I would be pretty fed up to be honest.

I've used Parada (SpecII's) for a while on my S3 and they are awesome in the dry, very sticky (when you put heat in them).
They are not so great in the wet however but with a 4 wheel drive S3 it balances out the crap wet handling. They are also quite noisy due to the large tread blocks moving about.

One last thing, they are pretty soft so dont expect more than 8-10k miles out of them.

Will re-iterate that they are awesome in the dry, short of track day tyres these are the next best thing.

I wont be putting them on an LCR when I get one, it would be asking for swapping ends incidents.

In the UK you have to face facts that more than 50% of your average driving is in wet or damp weather.

Personally, having tried pretty much every mainstream tyre out there I will be goind back to Eagle F1's or PS2's.

yeah im aware about wear and wet issues , however, it will be mainly used in the dry , on weekends. as im posted in germany with the military.....not too far from the nurburgring. also , i need sticky tires to handle around 340 bhp as well , thanks for the warning though.

what do you mean reference tread blocks and noise? do they not have minimal tread on them ?

They're just noisy that's all, they drone, a bit like a wheel bearing noise. You get used to it.

Even at the Ring, the clouds descend VERY quickly and the track becomes damp and slippery very quickly, I would still prefer a better all rounder on a 2WD car...

Think about it, you only need 1 spin and it's game over. The likelyhood of having a spin on Parada's in the wet is a lot higher than other all rounders...
