Facelift does have 8 colours but it stays in whatever one your choose. Doesn't change for a different mode.

Is this expensive to get done?
i've not even heard of this until today on this post

On Pre Facelift cars

If you have OBD11 Pro or VCDS Then no it is free, you just make coding changes.

Its been a very long time since I looked at this but From Memory

You can change the settings so its always Red in all modes
You can change the settings so when you go into reverse the lights turn off or change color (never done this myself)
You can change the settings so the door lights flash when you indicate and you can have different setups for left and right (red white or pink)

Again i have never done this but the coding says you can setup
Control interior lighting by zones from the CAR Menu - it states you can change the lights by area.

I have neither of those haha, I wouldn’t know where to begin. Would be something cool to learn and play about with though I reckon.

I'll have a dig around on the internet see if I can find anything. Thanks for the info.
Does this just apply to cars built before a certain date? If I pick red for ambient lighting it stays red no matter what mode I'm in or if I pick blue it stays blue etc. The colour isn't related to the drive mode.
If you go on vehicle settings, then lighting/background lighting (or something similar) you can choose what colour you want, as you have a facelift.

Come to one of our meets and we will be more than happy to set stuff up for you and show you how it works so you can decide if you want it.

For a facelift car have a look at http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/764/leon-coding-adaptations dont bother with the coding just look at the stuff that is possible on your pre facelift car.

I know that I can pick from a selection of colours but I wondered if I could get it to change when I change the modes like pre facelift.

Easy...
When changing modes quickly go through to ambient lighting and change the colour.
Ok it's a tad annoying but it works!

Thanks! Are the meets for modded cars only? As mine is pretty basic, i've only had it since August.

Where are the meets? I'm from Luton (unfortunately)

Meets are for anyone with a Seat ranging from standard, through OEM+, slightly fettled, modded all the way up to @theoldboy's 'are there any standard parts left?' level.

Yes the carpet and mats came with the car :)

As @Damo H said the only requirement of our meets is be a grown up (these are static meets for people to look and talk not do stupid things) and you have a Seat of any kind / age. Next one for you would be at Letchworth details here https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/letchworth-forum-meet-03-11-19.456436/#post-4882973
