Ive noticed when i type in my vehicle registration on any insurance companys website it tell mes my ibiza is 2003 not sure if anyones had this before? Bearing in mind my beefa was originally from ireland? my reg is like ICZXXX1
according to my log book the first registrant was in 2003 but im confused as to the mk3 cupras were 1999-2002 if im correct. Im guessing as my car was from ireland im assuming it was registered in 2001 BUT registered as an import in the uk in 2003 maybe? so UK records shows it like that but the vehicle was HPI cleared before i bought it
its odd! did u tell your insurance company? i wonder if it would make an difference to the premium lol, fortunatly its down the monkeys keying in the vehicle data for these companies - not blaming u dom
VSSZZZ6KZ1Rxxxxxx or 6KZ2Rxxxxxx means its a Mk3
VSSZZZ6LZ2Rxxxxxx or VSSZZZ6LZxxxxxx means its a Mk4
the 1R, 2R, 3R bit etc is your Model Year (obviously MY01, MY02, MY03 etc)
fella northern irish cars (calling us ireland is like calling england scotland btw) do not need importing etc we run off the same legislation as the mainland, on the other hand, if it is a republic of ireland car then it would as its running different plates etc, icz is a northern irish plate though.

never take anything for granted - only trying to help, I quote " but im confused as to the mk3 cupras were 1999-2002 if im correct."
You'd be surprised, there was a thread on here (or maybe a now defunct forum) saying the current Ibiza is in fact a MK 3, what we know as a Mk 3 is just a Mk 2 facelift and therefore a Mk 2 !!
