Did you have to chop your engine cover to get it to fit? or did you unscrew back bits and then it fitted?

I bought one from eBay for £30 and chopped it.
You need to chop about half of it off.
I unscrewed the bottom off then trimmed that to fit then secured that back to the top then trimmed the top.
It's a little worrying when you see the amount you need to chop off but nice when it fits, I've done mine so it only uses 3 locators it it fits great.

i dont wanna chop my OEM one, doubt i will find a LCR one one ebay

i want the LCR Powered by SEAT Sport bit on it still hence why i dont want a Cupra one really

As the pics I posted earlier in this thread.
The first cover I modded to fit my p-flow I in clipped my cupra r centre and fitted it to my modded cover.
Just unscrew your original cover and you can get to the clips holding that part on.

Excellent thats exactly what i wanted to hear!

I wanted to know if you could unclip the Cupra R bit!

Very easy to remove just make sure you unclip the clips as you go and don't force them.
The strange thing is my R one came off no problem but the 2 covers I've bought to mod they had the centre clips glued which broke that clip.
It still secured ok though, but my point is that obviously our covers just get the R part clipped on as there was no glue on mine.
