Was missing the rear block to gearbox bolt, lower starter motor through gearbox to block bolt and a top gearbox to block bolt! Made it quicker for me to get the box out though! The starter motor bolt is around 20cm long so not something small to leave off!

Andrew I'm fitting my APR boost tap tomorrow and wondered how you got your wiring from your boost sensor to your gauge?
When I done my last FR there was a big grommet behind the battery with nipples on which came in behind the pollen filter in the passenger footwell.
The facelift car doesn't seem to have that.

I just shone a torch behind the battery but couldn't see it.
If yours has it then I'm sure mine will once I get the battery out of the way.
Thanks for the reply.

Haven't washed the car in ages due to work etc and the snow so thought i would give her a quick was down today

Picked the car up this morning, Alex said my gearbox is in perfect condition (Unlike my old FR TDI), The OEM clutch is still in really good condition but the OEM DMF is knackered. The Southbend kit which is a silent kit (was very noisy on my FR TDI) is silent on this car, LSD feels amazing.

This afternoon popped round to APR to get Stage2+ flashed and all i can say now is WOW, The difference between Stage1+ and Stage2+ is immense really cant wait for RAF Marham 30-130 day now

Car in the background is a factory built SEAT MK2 Leon Supercopa, Fitted with a APR Stage3 Turbo Kit ready for Britcar

Been after a replacement engine cover for a while as the standard one doesnt fit with the intake

Audi TTS one does thought but TPS/Audi always have to order it so ive never bothered.. popped into Crewe Audi on sat and they had one sat there did it for £90 with all the mounts needed (think TPS wanted £93)

All as it really does is stops water dripping on my coil packs

My idea is to colour code it slightly by doing the black bits gloss black im not sure wether to keep the audi badge and do it yellow with the TFSI badge or to remove Audi badge and fit a SEAT Sport badge instead

Few photo's from GTI Springfest yesterday! Good think about HDR photo's they can make the swirled of cars look shiny! Haha

Sunburn.com is the word today

Thought i would do a quick update

Firstly Keith invited me to test out the new APR Switching a few days early before it was released. The mapping now contains Stock,95Ron,98Ron and 104Ron. Im running the 98Ron as always :D hoping that they will offer the Anti-Theft soon, to do this though will probably have to loose some of the mapping options so will probably pick to loose 104 and stock.

Since Santa Pod the car has felt lacking, I suspect a boost leak as my boost gauge is peaking at 1.5bar and holding 1.4bar where as before it was peaking at 1.9/2.0bar and holding 1.7bar.

I haven't been able to do any logging yet, I've had a quick look over the car and all the pipework appears to be normal, I swapped the Rev D DV for a new Rev G , the car does feel a little bit more gutzy low down but it hasn't solved the issue. Niki @ R-T3ch has commented on the Rev D vs Rev G on the MK5 Golf forum saying that the Rev D does leak a small amount from factory and the Rev G is stronger (Until it breaks, Due to the diaphram design).

So im hoping to get some logging done soon and to fix the issue.

Im also hoping to add the following soon:

BSH PCV Delete
Neuspeed Turbo Discharge Pipe
Exhaust (Either Scoprion or BCS)
Possibly some brakes

Added the PCV delete yesterday but it hasn't solved the issue, car feels a little stronger though

Got my first MOT tomorrow so decided I better give the car a wash, its not been washed since Santa Pod about a month or so ago.

Got the Karcher out and blasted it off and then gave it the old two bucket method as always. The sun was out so decided to give it a quick polish and wax aswell which is the first time ive ever done it on this car, was feeling lazy so decided to apply the polish and wax with my Meguiars DAS-6 that I've had for about 4 years and used once.

Cant really tell on the photo's but before it was starting to become a dull yellow and very swirled, now its abit brighter, id say roughly 20% less swirled and more shiney. My plan is now to get it professionally done in the next month or so.

So plans now? Well hoping to get a BCS Sport system fitted soon to make it more vocal and some new brakes all round

Yep still on springs for now.

I'm actually running the REVO PCV delete simply because I got it a lot cheaper than RRP it simply removes the PCV system which can fail overtime
