Well finially, ive just got my angel eyes fitted. The problem is though, i cant see a thing when there dipped! it seems that theres about 3 sections of light that split off in all directions apart from infront, the 1st goes down on the road about 1 meter infront, the 2nd other goes very high up the hedge on the left and the 3rd...well there isnt really a 3rd as its really dim  and doesnt light up the road the 2 - 3 cars lenght that normally happens! The high beam is fine though. So the question is, what do i do about this? and whats the best bulbs to buy that are the brightest?? And also the other question is that the 'rings' of the angel eyes dont exactly light up the circle is was expecting, ive just ordered Xenon 5 watt 194, 501, wedge w5w side light bulbs, will these do the trick?? hope help is on its way. Thanks

RobDon should be on here soon - but he custom-made some rings for his angel-eyes and did a very good job.

Adding HIDs to your angel eyes would be the way forward but I remember reading J@mes' thread. He did this very upgrade and he said despite it been much better with his HIDs it was a nightmare of a job and if he did it again he wouldn't bother with the angel eyes and just add HIDs to his OEM lights. However you already have the angel eyes so I think you know what you got to do :)

didnt someone drill holes in the ring so light went through better instead of trying to push the light around the ring they drilled the holes so it lit the ring up better,

The Leon angel eye headlights are quite poor, but with some work they can look good and perform well, unfortunately HID's are needed to get them outputting decent light, and the HID bulbs usually don't fit either so you have to dremel out the hole slightly to get them in. The RHD Ultra version appears to be slightly better as they have a diffused halo ring so with some LED bulbs they should look pretty good.

They are poorly designed IMO but could be a whole lot better with a little work.

For those interested, here's the work I did to mine. If I did it again I'd use different LED's in the halos, but it wasn't bad for a first go.

Here they are fitted to the car with HID's:

The only reason I got rid of them is because they were LHD lights, the Ultra version are RHD so I may well get a set of those and do this again but with better halos and HID's again.

I've got angel eyes in mine and I have the same problem. They're work but don't seem to be rings as such! I've got another wire coming from my left headlight that doesn't hook up to anything?!?! Apparently it hooks up to the battery?!?!? any ideas?
