Had trouble with my car not boosting but all is sorted -

however, whenever i floor it in first gear(get some torque steer) sometimes it will only go as far as 10 psi then if i ease off and progessively come off then on again it will got to about16psi.

if i hit 10 psi and then go in to second gear it will again work fine and hit around 16psi -

Happends intermittently so not concerned but just a little confused as to why its abit hesitant -

no error codes -

is it not just your TCS kicking in mine seems to do this some time but when turn TCS off boosts full but just with lots of wheel spin.

nope not the J - but Boris has a good point - will give it a go today - probably is that soo feeling a little silly if it is...

cheers guy!

how did you get on with this?? ive never had this problem with my car (touch wood) but.......i notice the TCS light flashing before any crazy wheelspin so i doubt it will be the traction control.....mines seems to boost all the way hard before the traction controls actually starts to kill power.

I would suggest the N75.....

ive been wondering about a similar point recently... ive got revo stg 1, miltek cat back, jetex panel filter and 007... and ive replaced all the vacuum hoses

when i floor it i get boost as follows in each gear:
1st gear: 10-12psi
2nd gear: 13-14psi
3rd gear: 14-16 psi
4th gear:15-19psi
5th gear: 16-19psi... but a few times it has gone right round to 20-21psi... but only ever in 5th

this lead me to think that its not a leak... as it would never go to 20-21psi, but i checked anyway and found nothing

could this be the n75?? ive never changed it... so assume its a standard one (not sure what that is... j etc...)... could i need a new one??

any thoughts???

do you know any one with vag com as i scanned for errors and havnt got any (touch wood) so can only assume its supposed to be like that -

but im seeing a simular increase higher up the gears i go as i get nothing but smell of burning tyres if i floor it to hard.

i have the same problem if you find the cause let me know

mine seems to boost better now, reaches 20-21psi more frequently, after i did an ecu reset... not sure if this actually made a difference or just coincidence, but worth a try
