Guys
Any advice about these 2 problems with my 2000 LC will be greatfully recieved, i've done searches but cant seem to find the answers.
1st problem - Semi cold starting - starting the car from cold is usually no problem but if I only drive it say a mile to the shops before switching off the engine, when i get back in the car it takes the ignition takes quite a lot of turning over before it fires, then when it does the idle either sits at about 2000 rpm, stalls or revs it's self between 900-2000. When this happens there's usually a lot of smoke from the exhaust too due i assume to the engine being flooded. It settles down and drives normally after it's run for a few mins. Tried vag-com and no errors show. the car had a water pump last month, timing belt, maf and dv in the last year.
2nd problem- the standard head unit radio reception has gone very poor in certain areas, overnight. one day it was fine, the next nothing but static. i've checked alll the leads at the back of the unit and they seem fine. funnily though when you open the passenger door the reception improves!
Cheers in advance for what whatever you can tell me, hopefully they'll both be simple cheap solutions
