Anybody tried this bullet aerial?

Found this aerial on ebay. Shame they only stock it in silver as it looks quite tidy been so short. Might look ok on a silver car but don't think it would suit any other colour. Looks like it's a civic aerial for me

Also strange buy it now is £9.99 and starting bid is £9.99. Surely you would just buy it now!

That's a good point! It's shiny so would probably need sanding, priming and then painting so the paint sticks to it!? Would look good in black! Wonder if it works though? I've heard mixed feelings on the reception from alternative aerials. Sounds like the civic one is the best one???

i just cut my standard one, and put a blob of black paint on the end!


made no difference to my reception, and a few others have done this due to me doing it, however i think about 50% of them said their reception got worse... must depend on where u live and what stations u listen to... i.e. if u listen to pirate stations then u prob shouldnt cut it! lol


as for painting that ebay aerial black... id just sand it to get a slight key and then simply paint it with black enamel... about £4 for a tin from halfords. even with a brush it will appear very smooth as if it was sprayed as the enamel is thick! (trust me! )

To be honest I rarely listen to the radio when I'm driving other than for the traffic reports on the way home! I'm normally listening to my ipod or my engine

That aerial might be worth a try as the standard one is tooooooo long!!!!
