Hi i am the bloke from MARKET HARBOROUGH (LEICS) that bought and returned the leon cupra .. first thing id like to mention is the reason u knocked money off the price was because u messed me around when i came to view it , i rang u at 09.30 in the morning to book my viewing appointment i then rang you when i got to sheffied to say i was going to be at most an hour till i was with you,and ur answer was were so sorry but iv just took a deposit on that car ,we spoke the call ended , u then rang me back after i had started to head home and said that i could come and view the car afterall(STRANGE??)..I came, viewed and purchased the car . the very next day (some thing tht u have failed to mention owner of dubbers)the coil packs went number 2 and 4 i contacted u and u said drive it to us and well fix it under the 30 day WARRANTY, i had a miss fire , engine warning light on and could no go above 30 mph and he wanted me to drive 110miles once i had explained this was not viable , he offerd to send me a check for the 2 coils tht had broke to the value of £50 once i had sent the invoice for the 4 coils i had replaced because as anyone nows if 2 coils go the others will shortly follow..while the car was havin its coils replaced at my local garage i got the mechanic to give the car a general check over, when i returned to pick the vehicle up he advised me to contact the garage i purchased the car from because of some faults ..THE TURBO WAS LEAKING OIL AND SMOKING WHEN HOT , ALSO THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING OIL LEFT IN THE RESERVOIR HE DIAGNOSED A LEAK..I contacted DUBBERS they said bring the car back and well fix it there was no offer of being able to go in the evening or collection/dropping from/off local train station and even if there was i was still having to pay out of my own pocket to bring a car back and having to take time off work due to having no car..i dropped the car off anyway and was contacted 3 days later and told that there was a power steering pipe burst and they were replacing it and that the turbo leak was the oil feed pipe(not the rocker cam cover that u previously stated, that was replaced before i bought the car it was listed on the PDI inspection form u had also replaced the rear brakes and front tyres, but failed to notice a leaking turbo and power steering pipe), they said it was going to take another 2/3 days for parts then my car would be ready to collect i asked if it would be possible for DUBBERS to deliver my car back to me as it says on ther web site nationwide delivery available, they told me they would not deliver it back to me so again i had to do the 220mile round trip at my own expense..when i got back home from collecting the car i checked under the bonnet because i could smell burning oil coming through the heater vents and guess what the TURBO WAS STILL SMOKING JUST AS BAD!!. i once again contacted DUBBERS and told them i wasnt happy at all ,they said they would get back to me. once they had contacted me they offered me a full refund for what i had paid for the car. i once again had to return the car at MY OWN EXPENSE. overall the service was dreadfull and i would advise any one to not purchase anything from DUBBERS PERFORMANCE VOLKWAGENS!!! in slaithwaite!!!!

no reason why it should, the original poster asked for peoples experiences with said company and they are getting it first hand.

The buyer of the above car only posted here as i had told him what had been said previously on here after my comments and he thought the responses were not completely correct so wanted to put his events forward to clear a few things up, i think that has been done now!

Shocking service by the sounds of it

To the OP, it's a shame you're up North. There's a very good garage near to where I live that's selling a black LCR. I bought my red LCR from there and it was in excellent condition.

Is your grasp of mechanical repairs as good as your English?

Sounds like yet another company selling average quality cars with high price tags and poor service, bit like RA motors in yorkshire.
What a complete waste of my time that trip was....

Their website is quite amusing as well, pretty much every car is described as "stunning" and there are loads of spelling mistakes.

Poor pictures as well, some taken in the rain.

Great.

The pics in rain are to show that it's water proof and won't melt in the rain ;)

just to clarify the offer of being able to drop the car off on a evening or weekend was made to you dad when he rang on your behalf
again we are sorry the car developed some faults after such a short time
which is why we offered to repair the vehicle free of charge or give you a refund
