Bird poo, and seagul sh*te can cause laqure peel if not washed off ASAP so that could also be a possibility as it can degrade further over the years.

My roof is faded as well I never have my car jet washed though, always wash it by hand myself so fingers crossed my paint might stand a better chance of survival with all the tlc it gets!

get some good quality wax that stopps uv rays fading your paint. like sunblock for your car.check out the detailing section for wots best.

it wont stop faulty lacquer from falling off cos seat did'nt apply it soon enough to base coat.

Not long been a Member - great site.
My 02 ovni 1.4 sport has brighter front wings, bumpers, fuel flap and spoiler than the rest of the car but no pealing.
Does anyone know of a cure?
I went into a main stealership today and was told to T cut the duller areas and then build up with yellow polish. Will this help??? went to halfords and was told that yellow polish doesn't exist...is this so? (is this a wind up? will it be next to the black light bulb?

ive never come across yellow polish and ive spent hours tryin to polish the faded parts of my car and it dont help. not even g10 rubbing compound! and a black bulb does exist!! not 12v tho that ive come across.

my roof is ding exactly the same and is getting worse - getting the roof and spoiler resprayed & laquered etc next week
