lee, how do i go about doing this?? could i send the power to my headlights? so when i unlock my car the lights come on??
Send the power anywhere, soon as the interior light is triggered that feeds a relay to trigger whatever circuit you want.

I have the window thingy, thats easy (link has already been posted) but the boot unlock would be handy.
Sit down with a relay use t'internet to find out what pins do what, you might need one way diodes.
Multimeter to find the circuits you want to light when the cars unlocked.

You want the interior light to trigger a relay to power fog lights back and front, any combination you want.

The boot opening is tres cool but it must be millimetres from the wall and I was half expecting to hear a scraping sound.

can anyone give me a bit of knowledge on how to do this.? i tried a local garage with a car sparky there and they said thats not as easy as it sounds to do. Every time i turn my interior light, to read something for example, my headlights will come on! Is there anyone out there who know how to do this and shed a bit of light on what to wire up..

The interior light coming on at unlock is controlled by the CCM, not by the interior light switch itself.
If you get the output from the CCM and use that to control the relay for the lights, then the lights will only come on for the time the interior light is on. If the output from the CCM is first diverted through the light sensor (photoresistor) it will only allow the lights on at the correct level of darkness. A variable resistor wired in parallel with the photoresistor *SHOULD* allow adjustment of the sensitivity.
A very simplified(and quick) way of describing it but that is basically what is needed.

lol!!!! i think il just write this down and hand it over to the car sparky..! haha. what is the CCM?? do i need to buy any extra parts or can it all be done from inder the bonnet by playing with wires??
sorry but the fuse board area under the bonnet or the one jst at the side of the steering wheel? only reason im asking this is because when i said to the car garage today they said it was a 'big job' to do and not worth doing? or if i could find out how it was done. so hopefully im going to go in tomorrow and throw all this info in his face and tell him to get on with it!!!! haha
