Anyone know the part number for a space saver wheel kit?

Hi all,

Just traded my MK3.5 FR for a 2023 Cupra Leon V1 e-tsi. I had a wee incident yesterday morning with debris on the road. I needed to jack up the car to get the debris out from under the vehicle. This was when I remembered I don't have a jack, only the compressor and bottle of gunge. Had to make some calls and got bailed out by a workmate. So the long and short of it is I'd like to get a spacesaver wheel, the foam insert and a jack, wheel brace etc, just in case like. I had one my old car and never used it but the tyre was 5 years old so I left it in when I traded it. I've seen this on Caffyns car parts and I've mailed them to check that the insert and tools are included. If someone here has a proper Seat spacesaver and insert, the part number would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Is the new one an ST too, or a hatchback this time ?
Asking because the original kit differs depending on the body style.

Hi,

Old car was an FR hatch, don't know how I managed to type ST!! New Cupra is also a hatch. I got a part number off of Caffyn's site. It's 5F0071716 which I believe is for the foam insert and toolkit. Just really hoping the aperture in the boot of the MK4 is the same as the MK3 and MK3.5. I'll have a look in mine tomorrow and see if the mounting holes for the foam insert match.

Hi again,

Below is the illustration of Mk4 Leon hatchback's spacesaver insert & the parts in it.
Part number is totally different (5F0012109) but it looks exactly like 5F0071716.
I also could provide the numbers of other parts in the illustration if you need.

I also checked the Mk3 Leon's toolkit and I see that the part number of the insert itself is the same as Mk4's insert.
I guess the part number you have is for the complete toolkit.

Thanks very much for your help here. Once I had the part number you supplied I ran a search and there are any number of the foam inserts available but when you start adding in the jack etc. it starts getting pricey. The deal on Caffyns site is for the insert, toolkit and 18" spacesaver for £250. Might just plump for that, hopefully before any more drama's. BTW, this is what I drove over the other morning. It was dark, raining and I didn't see it until it was too late to avoid it. Made a mess of the undertray and dented the subframe. No other damage though, got off lightly. Ironically one of my other workmates also hit it in a 75 plate Tesla model Y. He didn't stop to see if he had any damage or what he had hit. If he had, he could have moved it off the road and I wouldn't have hit it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing...

I recently bought a non OEM space saver wheel for my 2025 Leon as dealers told me that there was now no part listed as a space saver for my car. Even if there was, it would list at around £350 which is nuts.

I bought mine from Carnoisseur for £250 (including delivery and a wheel bag to keep it in - still too much, but there you go) and am awaiting delivery. They even confirmed that it would fit on the front, despite the big brake kit fitted to my VZ3.
