yeh definately.

Thinking i might opt for the FK Highsport coilovers - Rimstyle price is £365 delivered (approx)
Recon if we get a bit of a group-buy going we could reduce those prices a bit if we shop around :)
R splitter is nice and cheap :)

No probs pabs, like you say i does look like a standard part for the MY03 bumper.

Don't spose you could do me a favor pabs, could you measure the height from the ground up to the top of the front arch? Just want to see exactly how low my car is!!

Cheers

ground to top of the front arch - will do. Cant do it now cos its too cold and dark, but will do it tomorrow. Would definately be good to get exact drop measurements anyway.

Where did you get your self tappers? You said you used 8 of them? Did you drill pilot holes for them?

LOL!!! i was actually talking to Chez (Slicker on the 'other' site) his name is paul too(I think)!!! Just wondered if he'd done it yet as he asked for some pics a while back!!

Got the self tappers from ye old faithfull B&Q, no need to drill holes as the plastic is very soft anyway.

my car fronts sit 67cm 670mm from ground to top centre of wheel arch bodywork.
Front bumper sits approx 17cm from floor.
Rear is slightly lower than front, about 66cm from ground to arch.

Whats yours?
I ordered my LCR splitter today - will be picking it up on friday. Not sure on when I will fit it tho.

Right pabs,

Front is 635,
Back is 638 ish,
Splitter is 110 from deck,
Bumper is 140.

These are all 'ish' measurements as is getting dark!!

Thats means my car is lowered 35mm, the springs did say 45mm but as mentioned before the cupra sits 11mm (??) lower anyway so that tallies up.

Cheers

Danny

wow - thats a pretty accurate drop then. But the splitter/suspension drops the front by 60mm odd then.... might be pushing it :S
who knows - just tell my missus if we are to go shopping that i aint parking in a multi-storey :)

Not too sure which spring kit it is, but it is only the springs with standard dampers, i will get a full kit like yourself sometime in the summer.

Tell the wife to nip on the bus if she goes shopping!!! :D

yeh - have been thinkin that - alternatively use her car :p

I just wondered if I get a full kit whether or not to drop it all the way or perhaps part of the way, edging my bets between the two :) (being a chicken i know!)

i get a few scraps on my cupra r but as someone has already stated its on standard shocks set-up it does tend to nose dive at front and is lower at front thn rear im goin to lower mine and i believe its around 25-30mm but this will even the car out and stop th nose diving at front (hopefully)
