Was cumming home from work today and an fto came wizzing by so i thought have that and put the foot down after a wee while caught up with him ,we had a couple of blasts and im sory to say he won. are these things an gd remember i have a 150cupra tdi.

if it was a 2ltr V6, then the result does not surprise me, they ain't exactly slow.

if your 150tdi is standard against the fto, not really unsupprising.... tbh.

FTO, depending on model, can be quick. However, they are not ALL quick.

Mum and Dad own one - my remapped LC wipes the floor with it. Thing their model pushes around 180/190BHP.

I wnt up againts one in my Fiat coupe turbo........hahahahahahaha thems slow as fook.

Your TDI is only 150 bhp and if his fto was had engine tweeks then yeah he will beat you. Spend some on the old card bruv get re-map and few extras and see the differance. trust me

My friends GPX Mivec one is fairly quick, 200bhp and pretty light. As said you can get slower ones and there are auto ones too which would slow it down a little I think.

The same as all the other high revving motors though, they have no torque and need to be 6k+ RPM to be going anywhere.

Cheers for the feed back. Looks like il be saving for a remap. One more thing i gota say about the fto is that it sounded class at high revs.

chees:D

sorry to say that im looking forward to getting one (not now though, after i rinsed my ibiza gti a bit ) ...they are soo cheap!!

Try and get a rare manual one rather than the tiptronic version (the manual is faster) and go for the 2.0 V6 GPX MIVEC version. Most are imports but towards the end of their life, Mitsibushi UK sold some officially in this country.

My Dad has the 200bhp GPX MIVEC, but struggles with ST170s....they are 12years old now... and group 20 insurance... pay a high premium for not alot of go... lol

My Ibiza Stg1 had him... lol

Get the diesel mapped and you'll kill it...

Two vids of my Dads with an induction kit...(fitted by me lol)
