I have mine in an upside down 52mm dash pod underneath the heater controls, angled up towards me
I've never seen them done like that in a mk4 before, they look excellent
Trouble is, I'd have to buy more hose if I wanted to put mine there cos the a-pillar run is too short lol

Must admit they all look very good to me but i'm very impressed with the air vent one, might have mine in the vent nearest the drivers door and angled towards me lol

Nomad single pillar pod, albeit in an LCR.
Check http://www.nomadracing.com/ or perhaps do a search for a 'Nev Pod' if you're wanting a vent mount.

Nomad pillar pod in my MK3
Personally I didn't want to have to look down away from the road to see what my boost/oil temp was! The A-Pillar pod is the best imo for just glancing at!

this is my gauge holder the gauge is not mine as i borrowed it at the time whilst i was waitin for mine to arrive.
