Before I choose my car and at first I thought my new Leon was fairly nice to look at but not a head turner, I choose it primarily for the engine and equipment but I was wrong about the looks!

Walking down the path towards it in Hull I heard a bloke saying to his GF "that's nice isn't it" whilst nodding towards my car, a few seconds later a bloke came up to me whilst I was rummaging in the boot and told me how nice my car was and that his son had just bought one.

Then at a site I was at the security man told me I must be on too much money to be a telephone engineer as my car was so posh, later that day I found the receptionist of another site I was at wandering round the car and then told me it was really nice and she might get one!

Has anyone else had comments from people they don't know?

I wanted the Winter pack too but there wasn't a car matching all of the options in stock and the company couldn't wait for a factory order!

I was at Halfords walking back to my car after getting some polish and oil and a couple of lad got out of a Luguna parked next to me and I heard one of them say "That's a nice SEAT".

The car was probably in need of a good wash at the time as well.

I get good comments all the time. Doing 30k a year on motorways, etc i still get looks.

I love when people are waiting to get into the car and dont realise its got 4 doors.

Have to say of all the cars i've had (14 to date) this one really is the best and a car you want to just DRIVE all the time

My girlfriends sister took about a minute to find the door handles the first time, she then couldn't open the boot either!

A girl who was a passenger in a mini nearly snapped her neck getting a good look at the car (sadly not me) at a round a bout the other day.

Passenger Airbag Disconnect? Thats a real deal :D

Well you now have to specify it explicitly. I didn't. I was told that as it was a no-cost option it would be included anyway.

Don't need to use it atm, but in the event of me needing to, I'll be very glad of it.

Think it is a £30 option now. They started charging for it after the May price change.

I've had loads of comments about my car too (Stylance sport with areo bumper & wheels)

Even people who normally dont show an interest in cars have described it as 'beautiful' haha!!

Makes u warm inside doesnt it? haha

I got a "Wow" when my mate couldn't work out how to open the boot or the rear doors. Find people always staring at the car since I got it. Even the wife loves it and she's not into cars at all.

I've had a few "ooh what's one of those, it's lovely" comments from family along with a few appreciative nods from fellow inmates on the M6.

I especially love the confusion with the rear doors muhahahaha!

Got a mildly amusing anecdote about the passenger airbag disconnect thing (it helps if you've seen Grindhouse: Deathproof though):

The Wife: Is it a safe car?
Me: Yes
The Wife: How safe?
Me: 4 Star Euro NCAP and 8 airbags. It's deathproof
The Wife: So what's with the "passenger airbag disconnect" switch?
Me: Hey, remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn't a lie. This car is 100% death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat
The Wife: Huh? What the bloody hell are you talking about?

Too many comments to mention, (I'm not being big headed all our Leons are nice) the comment which meant the most to me was from my mate who has had all sorts of performance cars (Subaru's etc) he took it out for a spin not long after I picked it up, he got out and said with a blank expression on his face "Graham - no way is that a Diesel - its brilliant" :D

In other words, "Don't need to use it atm but working on it:whistle::whistle:

Everybody keeps staring at the car when I'm on traffic jams... Sometimes it even freaks me out :p

A lot of people get nearby and tell me to lower the crystals, and they tell me the price and if it "runs".

It's cool to have such an exotic car, but man people annoy :p

Couple of guys walked passed the house and complimented the car quite loudly, my wife shouted "thanks" from the upstairs window!! Scared the :censored: out of them!!!

I have grown to love the new Leons. I think in general both the mk1 and mk2 are gorgeous looking cars. I get people staring at the car all the time and got the odd comment here and there.

All the neighbours mention how they like my car and that they always see me cleaning it.

What the best thing about it all is, Leons are not common cars!

I was lucky enough that the dealer found a Luna Grey with winter pack and all the other kit I wanted with a 4 week lead time. I have to say the heated seats are getting plenty of use at the moment:)

Met a new neighbour the other week he came over as I'd finished polishing the car and he couldn't stop saying, "thats such a lovely looking car!".

I drove from Glasgow this morning to the west midlands and saw one Leon MK2 (Luna Grey with BTCC Kit) now in nearly 5 hours driving thats exclusivity [B)]

I've had the car a month now and done 3300 miles and love its drive and looks to bits:funk:
