Are LCR's turbos water cooled?

As the titles says really is the turbo water cooled?
As my secondary water pump has stopped working, checked fuse 16 was ok and replaced pump and its still not working. Need to have a further look.

No it's not water cooled. The only coolant liquid is in the engine block/radiator.

Runs coolant, and oil 'cooling'

I would say the oil is more to lube the bearings but yes the oil going through the turbo will cool it a bit too.

The turbo is water cooled and has a decent oil supply to that primarily provides lube but will cool a little also.

Ok thanks didn't reallise it was water cooled, so the secondary water pump is quite important then, best get it sorted.

Thanks for the replys, learnt something new. Can you actuate the secondary water pump with vagcom?

Reserving the right to be wrong as always , I thought the turbo got a fair supply of coolant anyway and the main purpose of the secondary pump was to cool the turbo after the engine had stopped?
