No they are made of a kind of paper material so are not cleanable. It does not take long to inspect it tho.

If it's soaking wet, make sure the plastic cover over it isn't broken. I found one on a golf once with that problem. It will start letting water into the footwell. The pollen filter is cheap enough from auto factors, if you've got it out you may have well change it.

it clips on the front edge of the square box and curves upward towards the scuttle panel (i've had the wet footwell problem before )
