Because the alloys sold at Seat's website are BBS..I wanted to know if the orginal ones on Cupras are BBS or not..This means they are lightweight and can replace my 17''..

why dont you just pick them up and see how heavy they feel. Dont think the cupra ever came with bbs alloys apart from btcc kitted ones.

Simple, check the back of the wheel.

All wheels have the manufacturer stamp on them so will either say bbs or ronal

Ronal and very heavy for a 7.5 j wheel (heavier than the Cupra R 18" wheels). Some Seat wheels are BBS and these are lighter/better finished.

most of the accessory wheels and goods were outsourced so could be from anywhere, seen bbs/speedline in the past and cant remember who they got to make the older mk2 sportline range

majority of the original wheels were Ronal but they are stamped/logo'd around the bolts or inside the spokes so worth a quick look

They are, got a few here and is says so on the inside of the spokes, but they also are lighter. A certain brand says nothing about the weight (look a OZ, thet got ultralight wheels but also produced real heavyweights). Weight doesn't say too muchs about the strength. A good alloy and crafmanship does (can't believe how much abuse the rays on my supra mark IV took before they finally gave up.....)
