Are you sitting comfortably?

After living with the Leon for a couple of weeks now, I've yet to find a comfortable seating position. I either have to be too close to the accelerator pedal with my knee and ankle bent too much, or the steering wheel doesn't go back far enough and my arms end up outstretched.

I'm average sized (~5'10"), with normal sized limbs, so why am I having this problem? Is it anything to do with the accelerator pedal being hinged at the bottom? Does anyone else have the same problem?

I think the throttle takes some getting used too , i'm still not get it masterd 700mile in!

The fact that if you have your heel resting on the floor you don't get the full power ( you have to press the accelerator near the top ) or if i have my whole foot on the throttle i feel i'm always taking my foot off the pedel?

Size 8-9 shoes maybe? Lol

Cover the pedal like you would in a bumper car, just dont press it all the way down! I found it very easy to get used to in the test drives, but I had driven Golf's before. I found raising the height of the seat helped, as doing so brings you closer to the wheel and makes the gear knob feel closer :)

Either that, or we need to get Hugo Nebula a booster cushion ;)

I got used to it after about 5-600 miles. Havn't even stalled it for a while now!
I too cant decide whether to put my whole foot on the accelerator or just part of it.

love it

I find my leon very comftorble.
And i enjoy long drives back from germany to my parents house in southampton.
At this moment in time i am in iraq so i have not drove my car since november but i am back at the end of jan for a 2week leave period so all i am thinking of is getting in my car and going out all day in it.

Just thought of something else.
My g/f has short legs (feet don't touch the ground when sat on some chairs etc) but she has the seat further back than I do and I'm 6ft (almost).
