Armrest hole... Where to cut?

Hi All,

Plan to fit an armrest this weekend [B)]

Just want to confirm 100% before taking a Dremel (or other sharp/cutting object) to my centre console…

Do I cut the outside perimeter of the coin tray? If I follow this line, I trust I won’t leave any unsightly gaps between the consol and the rest?

I’ve looked at various pictures and threads, but can’t find a definitive answer on where to cut

Thanks for any guidance you can give me!

Yes, pretty much but it has to be one of the worse things, cutting into your car with a saw.

I think i fitted the bracket first then starting making the hole untill it was big enough to fit the armreast into. Just take your time it can be quite a job!

Cheers, tell me about it, not looking forward to the first cut!

As you say, will probably fit the bracket first and take my T...I...M...E ;)

I fitted my one last week and i took out the centre console, turned it upside down and cut around the coin holder near the top of the console(cutting the lip off with it). you will need a 13mm deep socket torque bits sorry i can't remember what size, an allen key and a small screwdriver.
