Asphalt Blue

So have just come back from the British motor show at Farnborough, Seat had a new Ibiza in the new Asphalt blue, which I've got on order on a Leon ST, let me know your thoughts, as I'm not so sure after seeing it, might have to change to desire red, guys there said show lights etc don't show it in the best light

Reminds me a bit of a cavansite blue c class I had. That had chrome window trim so it perked it up a bit and looked nice.
I love blue cars but I'm not sure about that one. No help whatsoever there was I.

It's helpful, it proves I'm not the only one disappointed, I mean looking at the configurator and brochure I wasn't overly impressed, but you never know with those until you see it in the metal, but seeing it hasn't really made much difference!

Are there many videos of the colour online being driven etc and then you see it in the proper light rather than inside? It might help

Not seen anything, theres been coverage of the sapphire blue on the new Ibiza and Arona, which looks really nice but nothing on Asphalt.

This may just be a coincidence as I'm not a paint specialist, but asphalt blue has the same paint code (5u5u) as Audi Firmament Blue

That does happen within VAG - same colour paint used by different brands within VAG and each brand will have its own specific paint code.

Most colours change in natural light, some for the better, others not,I would buy a car in a colour
I hadn’t seen in the flesh, you’ll need to cross your fingers sorry, you could always wear glasses with a tint if you don’t like it when it arrives.

I mean I've asked to change colour, but if its too late then it's too late and will make do, I'm sure it will look different in more natural light etc!

You could always get it wrapped in stand out colour after delivery and be different from every other Seat?

Welcome to the forum!! Well I had time to change my order, so I changed to Desire Red, I haven't got mine yet, BW7 so due around mid March perhaps, as long as no more delays/covid lockdowns!!

I have desired red color and it in daylight or any other light is just excellent! I love that color. Also black leon looks good from back and front But as always color is quite personal thing and that is my opinion only..
