Audio controls, airbag ,horn - not working?

Hi, new here but found forum very useful when buying my Altea last summer.

My 56 reg Altea steering wheel has decided to "play up". The airbag light came on last night and I now have no horn, no steering wheel audio controls (or illumination), no airbag.

Has anybody got any ideas? These all seem to have seperate fuses so I am thinking a dodgy connection in the steering column or someone mentioned a "module"?

Or is it into a dealer for the old diagnostic money pit?

for cost of dealer diagnostics get your own VagCom kit. Sounds like a module problem
