Good morning. My AUQ has a funny issue, it was hesitating over 2k and if I revved it right up the Rev counter would drop to 0 and the EPC light would come on and it would run in limp mode with a 4.5k limiter

Stuck it on the diagnostic and it popped up 0321 and 0322, so I've just fitted a new crank sensor and the issue has changed, now if you rev it past 4.5k it cuts the ignition entirely and stalls the engine.

Anyone come across this before, have any advice?

Oh yeah when it cuts out I still get the codes coming back but no more EPC light and no more limp mode...

I'm going threw same problem now just as you have described but mine will no longer start at all I'm trying to get it to a friends garage to go over it. It's a very puzzling issue will keep updating on progress let me no how yours goes cheers.

that sounds like crank position sensor terrycupra, ive recently done mine.

symptoms where the car was hard to start now and then, when going for it it would splutter misfire and sometimes cut out, when i restarted the car it would idle at 1200ish rpm but once i cleared the codes and started again it might be fine

i bought a bosch sensor even tho i could buy cheaper and ive never looked back

I've ordered the coil pack loom to rule that out.

What's irritating me is it ran perfect down the A2 today, full of power but I had my baby girl in the car so couldn't give it hell to be sure...

Then it was hard to start this evening and out of no where it tore up the road, then back to its old tricks...

Still havent fitted the loom, dreading that job.... but I'm getting a lot more P0011 and P0012 nowa days, now I'm thinking this could all be VVT/VCT solenoid problems, but with the ignition cutting AS WELL maybe it's just the relay.

Not yet... But this week it did miss behave quite badly and I had to buy it 3 new coils in a hurry at £28 each I'll get number 4 payday next week because one looked new, but it's 18 months old, so will make a good spare, but problem is still there....

Think next is new plugs, the new coil, new stat, and drop the sump and check the pick up ring

Solved it fellas.....

Needed a genuine Vag crankshaft sensor..... At the cost of £105+vat trade I thought sod that, went to the breakers and got one off a Golf AUM along with a fake 007, the maf, and a front mount intercooler for the grand total of £20. Intercooler needs the map sensor boss fitting to it though so need to order one soon...

Hi mate, do you know which one of these fixed your issue mate? I'm having very similar issues with mine but I've replaced both cam and crank sensors still getting the same code coming up saying p0321 and p0322. Pulling my hair out here hahah
