Sorry, I should have added at the end, the mirror does stay down until I put the selector knob back into the centre position.
I did expect the mirror to return once I drove forward but I suppose that would mean the mirror constantly going up and down if you needed to shuffle back and forwards while parking.
So to recap, as you did above but don't re-adjust your mirror at the end, simply put the knob in the "0" position rather than the "L" position.
Once you hit 15mph and the central locking kicks in it'll revert to its original position.
According to the brochure if you have electrically folding mirrors you have the reverse activated kerb view mirror.
Will this be something I need to take to the dealers to rectify?
Mine was also disabled by Seat - it would be useful to know what the part numbers are and cost to correct this.
In the meantime I've enabled it using VCDS and find it 90% functional and still well worth having only needing to manually correct it every tenth time or so. Also enabled it on my neighbours Octavia VRS works perfectly on that.
It may be parts that are required, I'm not sure would prob have to be whole unit including motor etc.
