Auto Dimming mirror

Hi chaps, Ive tried the search but no luck.

Will the auto dimming rear view mirror from a MK5 Gold fit into the mK 2 Leon?

Yes but i think it needs a power source cable running into the roof lining

Can I not take power from one of the interior lights?

One thing to check is that it works the same on a Golf as it does on the Leon.

For example I have the option on the TT as I did my Cupra and the mirror on the TT incorporates the rain and light sensors as well and is in fact a different windscreen to standard.
