auto door lock

me and my wife are slightly worried about the auto door lock on our tolly. we were wondering what happens if you have an accident which destroys the car battery or wiring, would the doors still be locked or could they be manually unlocked from inside?

can you not still open them by just pulling the handle twice!! in the beeza u pull it n it unlocks it i think then again opens it.

Not sure exactly how its done, but I guess there is an impact sensor that opens the locks automatically in the event of an accident.

dholdi is right there are sensors so when the car is in an impact it automaticaly releases door locks for access from outside.....so im told by my friend (who is a seat tech)

my worry is that in a substantial impact the power to unlock the doors is going to be missing as the battery gets destroyed.

Again not 100%, but I would imagine its designed to fail safe, so if power is lost it would automatically open. I guess this system must be seperate from the normal way of locking the doors as if not all a thief would have to do is disable the battery and the locks would open.

The vehicle has capacitors which store energy in them, enough for instance to pop open any of the locked doors with a split second in the event of an accident - if the battery is destroyed or has a severe break in the circuit.
