Been having a few issues with the auto hvac controls - wonder if anyone has any ideas !
The last few weeks ( with the rare hot weather ) after driving my 184 FR - and driving home- being nice and cool after work - I tend to stop off and enjoy partaking of a cool drink in the local hostelry round the corner from home- After an hour - I get in - Start it up - Its blows wet hot air to the windscreen where it actually mists it up ! The air is hot wet and soaking even through the dash airvents. After start up and the AC gets going again - the screen clears after about 45 secs then the cold is back as the AC compressor kicks in. Outside temp about 25degs - internal set to 21 degs on auto - but it just keeps chucking out freezing air unless I dial the temp up to about 25 degs - then it behaves as if Id set it 19 degs . Ran a VCDS and the RLHS behind the mirror is giving nonsense figures - Changed it for a known good unit - and still have the nonsense figures ! Car is only 5 months old - but i did change the RLHS as It didnt come with auto wipers - Did the mods via vcds and all seems to work Ok - but the new issue with the Auto hvac -could it be miss coded ? Or has the hvac system gone bad . Just thought Id ask as Id have to remove the auto lights and wipers to go to the stealers . Anyone had any issues ??
