Had my 1.4TSi for 5 years now and all is well. But the other week the auto-lock feature decided to stop working, as well as the two click open of the door, one click opens the driver door, two clicks opens all doors.
Now, when i click the remote button all the doors unlock and the anti-hijack auto lock doesn't engage any more when driving off.

It only seems to have started happening after i cleaned the inside of the car the other week. This might be coincidence, but its the only thing i can remember doing that might have caused the problem, i.e. accidentally pressing buttons.

Does anyone know if there is a way of switching off the anti-hijack from the remote or combination of the remote and buttons, so i don't do it again?

Can I switch it back on without having to go to the dealer?

Thanks

Which display in your cluster do you have eg the half size at the right on the bottom or the full size with bluetooth that has the gauges to the side? Also check your central locking button isnt stuck down. IN face after youve been through your menus in your MFD. If it still isnt working take off the button completely. Then test.

Ok, found out how to sort it, it is in the manual!! The last place to look!!!!

With the driver door open, if you put the key in the door lock and turn it to unlocked for three seconds it enables the antihijack

If you hold down the lock button for three seconds then it enables the autolock when you drive off. Doing these in reverse disables the features!

That happened to me with my Leon. All of a sudden only driver door was unlocking and the rest were staying locked
All I did was went into settings on dash and reset the locking area back to factory settings.

Did the trick for me lol
Havn't had a problem with unlocking/lockings ever since.

I had these issues too. Happened a few times after I had dropped my keys. Lucky enough I could just change it through the dash screen menus.
