Hi

Just had my new DAB delivered and the auto lock/unlock of the doors has not been turned on.

I seem to remember I read a few years ago when I had my last Ibiza that some kind of combination of pressing the central locking button on the drivers door can activate / deactivate this feature.

Anyone know if this is right and how to do it, or am I going to have to trail back to the dealers?

Cheers

I've not heard of a button pressing combination that does this....only ever changed it with vag-com.

I suspect a trip to the dealers is in order unless you have vag-com or know someone nearby who has.

your dealer should be only too glad to do it for free mate

edit

be careful as some insurance company's won't pay out if you get car jacked as the auto lock should be on

Mine is the same.
I forgot to ask the dealer to turn it on.
On my Renault Clio you could turn it on yourself and also selsct at which speed it locked the doors.
On my Crossfire I was able to change the way the doors unlock by holding both buttons on the remote down for a couple of seconds.

Norrie.

supposed to be making it so all new cars have it now arnt they?

cant remember which car it is could be the new ocativa vrs with the maxidot display or one of the audi's we have been looking at but your supposed to be able to change loads of settings including door auto locking in the trip computer menu. :)

yeah, it won't be long before you get a 12 inch lcd screen as your instrument cluster with a full desktop menu system on it

just imagine, screen savers, little digital pets crawling round your dials, silly little paperclips popping up and even more silly little error messages that go DONG!

:(
