KVW100's aren't a good idea in my view (each to their own and all) as they lock the CCM and do not work on many models I believe. They also cost £50 (which is a total rip off in my book).

I got my key remote operated windows going up and down for...the grand total of £7.

Where VDS Pro is better also is that you can revert the car's CCM back to pre windows mod. You need a laptop and a VCDS RS232 serial cable to OBD2 (see ebay) plus the VDS pro software. All easy to get, no?

KVW100's don't have much going for them TBH and having researched the topic online quite a bit the vast majority of people wouldn't touch them - and why would they when you can achieve the same result for peanuts. You can also sort your mates Ibiza's out too.

There is one thing though...you have to be super careful that you use the VDS Pro software correctly...directly changing memory addresses in your CCM MUST be done extremely carefully. Do a search on this forum for VDS Pro for more info.

The mod cannot be carried out with VCDS - the changing of a memory address is not to be taken lightly and Ross Tech do not facilitate doing so in their sw. Do a big search on VDS Pro...there's loads about the mod in other threads posted previously. Some good stuff about it in the Leon forum on here.

VDS Pro needs a serial RS232 cable to work. Once you have the kit the mod takes 2 minutes to do. Bit like preparing chinese food...cooking it is v quick but the prep takes a while :)
