I have now received my Connects2 USB/MP3 inerface in the post.
However, i've just had a look at the wiring and it's puzzling me a bit already! OK, here's how it is:
- There are two connectors: a Blue female connector (which I presume plugs into the back of the head unit) and a Black male connector. Not sure what that one is. Anyone know?
- There is a black wire coming out of the blue female connector with a red plastic sheeting at the end around the wire, and there is a white wire coming from the actual cable iitself also with a red sheeting at the end of the wire. I presume these fit into one another?
- There are two other black wires, one of which is the earth one (with the big metallic loop) and the other is like the earth but the loop is smaller. Any ideas?
Any help will be appreciated.

The instruction manual is very poor, i've got it with me, but i've found the online version here:

Although the little bit about the black connector isn't on the manual I received with the package. But it still makes no sense to me!
From reading that you disconnect it from the rear of the unit, put the black wire to earth, then put the new socket into the now empty hole on the rear of the unit, does that make sense/correspond with what you have?

There is only one socket in the back of the head unit for the CD changer, whereas the device has two sockets, a black one and a blue one. They refer to the earth, but there are two 'earth looking' wires on the device (one of which is labelled 'Gnd - Ground').
and then there's the question of these two other wires with the red sheetings on the ends. Where/how do they fit?
I've just rang the manufacturer Connects2 themselves. They had an 0906 number on their website which is like a quid a minute! But went to http://www.saynoto0870.com and got the alternative georgraphical number for them, which is 0121 522 5588...
... Anyway, I just spoke to the chap there and asked him what all the wires were. Apparently, some head units require one or the other of the blue/black connectors and some require both, so you just connect the one (or both) that is appropriate for your head unit. In my case (Leon 2004 TDi Cupra), I just need the blue female connector.
The 'earth looking' wires are both earth, but correspond to each of the blue/black connector, but because you can't tell which one is for which connector, the chap said it's no harm to just connect them both to earth (thechassis of the head unit will do).
Finally, the two wires with the red sheetings at the ends (apparently called the 'red bullet connectors'), they just plug into one another. Didn't bother to ask him what they were, just wanted to know what to do with them!
I'll upload a picture later just in case anyone else buys one these things.

Yes, but tbh you don't need to disconnect the power there is enough room to get to the CD connector at the top.

OK, I have now fitted the Connects2 device. It works like a dream! Got a mate to help me out with the wiring, and I have now taken my CD changer out. Now I just need to get the glove box liner to cover the hole left by the CD changer, which i've ordered from my local Seat dealer.
Was really easy and straight-forward to install, was just a case of disconnecting the CD changer and connecting the Connects2 device! I recommend it to everyone.

I didn't get a chance to take any pics, 'cos I did it in the evening yesterday and was too dark. I'll try to take some at lunch time and upload them later.
Well, at the moment, the oblong adapter thing on the deivce is just sitting loose in my glove compartment as i'm waiting for the glove box liner to come through, so when I get it, i'll secure it somewhere behind the glovebox and then feed an extended USB wire through to it, onwhich I can then just plug my USB flash stick on to. I will need to drill a small hole in the glove box liner to allow for the USB cable to come through.

PS the device also comes with an SD card slot, so you can use an SD card as well!
Nope, you can create as many directories as you want on the USB stick.. but it is recommended that you put a maximum of 99 MP3s in each directory.
I can get about 2000 songs on an 8gb, excellent stuff!
