i remember speaking to AMD about this clutch and they put me off one saying they've got a box full of faulty ones!also MRC had problems with them on the RS4'S.That said i know a few on here have had no problems.

only joking.. :p

Southbend have a good rep clutch wise

Just got this delivered, getting fitted next week with the lightened g60 flywheel, let you know how it feels....vvortex haven't a bad thing to say about them, unlike spec.....

Confusing, badly laid out website though.....

Yip, agree about the website, did a lot of research on them on quite a few forums, not one had any issues with them, unlike Spec clutches. So here's hoping.

With the exchange rate at the moment it seems like a good choice. Rather that on my O2J than a standard clutch and new dual mass.........

Wondering if I should be worried about my Spec clutch.. as I too hear of problems, but on Vortex Spec posted up directly to answer the critics.
seems they did produce some poor quality clutches for a period of time but not currently.

I have run Spec stage 3 & stage 3+ too good effect with no issues.

Southbend clutches are another brand advised me which I may try out when I need to

Southbend are the same people as DXD racing clutches. I have asked if they can do a stage 5 that will fit. No springs or rivets with the stage 5.

Jeremy at spec got back to me and said 'Alex, It is good to hear from you...it has been a while. The warranty is 120 days from the date of purchase and it covers manufacturing and material issues. That being said you are technically out of warranty based on time frame. I can offer you a reduced cost on a new disc if that will help. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!!'

So im really not sure to go with Spec again, try Southbend (If they get back to me) or see if Spec can do me a clutch without springs or rivets???

wow ibizaalex absolute beauty of a car. Really liking the look of it and that it also produces the power you would expect with such a car! great.

any more pics of the outsides? I can only find this thread of yours...

There website will be redone soon.

As for Spec Clutch and that 120 days ....thats hogwash.Tell Jeramy you want a replacement.

Ive been trying to sort a replacement all week. Jeremy is such a hard bloke to crack. Fooking annoying as i need a car :(
