ive ran a DV reversed for near 3 years, personally on a piston type its the more logical way to run it, where as with a diaphragm valve i would only run the oem way ,

Its only a tap, works either way

so what is the standard bsche one? piston or diaghram?

diaphragm, piston types are best suited to reverse,

that shows how a piston reversed works

They're all good for the job. The stock bosch one is fine even at 300bhp plus, there's a few 400+ cars running stock valves. The forge ones are customisable with spring rates etc, I run a 007p in reverse so I can hear it dump slightly, ive never had an issue running it in reverse, it just seems more logical having the boost act on the piston end. And not on the side of the piston and 0-rings ,

Personal preference . They all do the job without issues !

Edit, beaten to it !

i'll stick with the bosche one then, i done the n249 bypass and it dumps alot louder now, cheers for input guys, anyone else with any opionions on their DV setup

Have you removed the felt bonnet liner ? Its mainly there for sound proofing and the car doesnt seem to suffer without it. That should increase the noise of everything under the bonnet.

changed from piston 007p type dv to an APR R1 diaphragm dv.
respond quick.
nice sound, fitted in OEM way, and i have removed the plastic pipe from the airfilter to the front lights, and done the N249 delete.
dont have to maintain it like other piston types dv.

would recommend the APR R1 to any one.

having the boost pushing against the spring ??? So on full boost there's a chance of boost leaking past ?? They shouldn't be run in reverse .
