Fitting a BAM engine is the exact same as fitting a mk4 Cupra engine other than the downpipe

Ok I did not know that lol so the bam engine is the best bhp for buck so the best to fit then

Well if your going for big power then my guess is the bam is the one but anything over 300lb ft torque will probly need forged rods, so if your just aiming for a nice 220-240bhp then any ayp aum agu from a leon cupra or ibiza cupra or gti turbo will do the job?? The cost difference between buying a bam to buying any other 1.8t engine is a fare bit...any of the ithers can be had for around £150-250.

If he's aiming for 220-240, the best thing to do would be stick with his pd engine

Well the bam engine is 225bhp so that point failed
