Guys will this affect performance, ive seen a block in the forsale section for 20 quid and pistons for 80, use the BAM crank oilpump etc and i have a rebuilt bottom end, and just need a head, so what head would fit?

IF i use an auq block + head what will happen power wise?

i'd imagine so; might be a problem if he's thinking of going big turbo! another option.....backdraft do a bored reinforced 1.9 block (1.8 originally) for ~ £2000.... :D

in theory there should be no difference - although probably the most knowledgeable person you could talk to is Bill at Badger 5 - he knows these engines inside out!

doenst state he has all peripherals though, thats where wires are getting crossed.. he says engine is fooked.

maybe should say, will an auq lump fit with my ko4 peripherals.... then yes, you have all you need for effectivly a ko4 upgrade...

but again wont the ecu need sorting either way.... reprogramming for immobilser etc, unless the auq lump has this with it, in which case wont it need mapping for the ko4?

and surely he will have the injectors from the bam aswell anyways...

i dont get why it wil need maps and ecus, all i want to do is take my block out, and put an auq in, thats sump - headd and nothing else, then bolt on my turbo manifold, inlet manifold, and plug the loom in.

yes should have the injectors from bam, but also a bams ecu should work with an auq, because all the sensors that the ecu uses will be the same; the block itself will be no different to what the ecu sees and does.

No need for any programing of ecu for immobiliser as its only hardware thats being changed I would think.

Right a vavle has broken off and smashed the hell out the piston crown from what i can see in cylinder 2, the middle inlet vavle isnt there. The head will be off tomorrow when i get the Ribe socket. But if its broke off i imagine its give the cylinder walls and the head a good gouging out. hence why i need a new engine.

again might be wrong, but will the ecu adapt, work with a ko4 going onto a auq with bigger injectors, maf, tip etc, would have thought it would have to have a map to suit... if the ecu is from the auq... or is he using the bam ecu??

god knows, im confused now.. leave it to you guys.

according to my recipt it had a new turbo fitted at 70k (jus done 70800) which was a K04 - 023 turbo, now wheres this K03 coming from, the ecu is allready mapped for the K04 which is on now and the AUQ block which it will be bolted onto and the ecu plugged in shouldent make a diffrence right?

ah what a f**ker! if you are thinking of using the original rods you will want to check no.2 for trueness - a hard hit on the valve could have bent a rod. In summary, I'd say using a auq block with everything else from a bam setup should be fine without any mapping issues - as above, Bill is the man in the know!

right, im with you now.... yep shouldnt make a difference.

the block will be the same, use the lcr peripherals, lcr ecu.. map etc then all will be fine

injectors off lcr to swap with the auq injectors.

got it. right ho, go for it matey.

that is how I see it - use the LCR current ECU, swap the block to AUQ. The ECU will not is see the difference, as most of the sensors are in the peripherals, and the others shouldn't have changed between the AUQ and BAM blocks.

Good news them, what about service items still the same?, timing belt still same?

IF i decide to go for the revo stage 1 will it cope? or will i have to use BAM piston & rods?
