Also has it just started happening? And is it a bang or a rattle, driving slow/fast?

Bushes in my drop links went before and it was a loud rattle but not a bang, could be any bush really on the front end

its a bang andwhen i drive slow really and it only does it when there is pot holes and bumps

Best thing get it jacked up, (bearing in mind all the relevant safety factors to be taken into account) and give everything a wiggle and a check. Engine mountings as well!

I would be pretty worried about anything that makes a bang especially at low speeds.

The problem with that is unless some of the components are truly mullered then you aren't goint to feel any play. The drop links in particular, even when removed from the car might not exhibit excessive play to the untrained eye/hand.

If its banging away a low speeds as he is saying then i would think what ever it is will pretty stuffed.

That said........One mans bang is another mans rattle........
