Picked up my oil temp gauge this evening. Perfect match for my current boost gauge too :)

Had a little trip over to Phills earlier this evening I reset my throttle body and try and resolve my over revving issue. We didn't get it sorted so trying other avenues now.

We did however fit these :)

Final update on the handling now. Spent another evening at Tims work pressing the bearings in and grinding off random bits of the S3 that were still attached.

A day has been booked with all the relevant people and partners involved so Sunday is fitting day for :

S3 subframe with solid bushes
S3 ARB
S3 lower strut brace
S3 steering rack with poly bush
S3 wishbones fully poly bushed
S3 hubs with new bearings
S3 shocks with my lowering springs
All new bearings, bushes and joints on all the little add ons.

I've also got a new map sensor to see if that helps with my revving issue, if not well swap the TB and see if that helps.

Big update :)

Today was fitting day for loads of parts.

It all went well with no hiccups, not even an after 12 Phil moment I'm glad to say.
In true form Tim arrived mid afternoon to supply the laughs.

The differance when driving the car is amazing! It holds the road better, feels tighter and more connected. Poly bushing is a definate must for everyone.

The to fit pile.

That wasn't the lap you boiled you power steering fluide was it?

No this lap was after my tuition. It felt a lot better after tuition. Smoother, quicker and more controlled.

The fluid issue was my first time out. :)

Interesting seeing that and how some of your lines differed to mine
I assume it ended cause the battery died?

Yeah the battery died which is annoying as I done about 6 laps and only grew in confidence on each lap.
I would imagine you can turn in slightly later??

Not turn in later just using different bits of tarmac through the corners, especially the double apex and the fast chicane after

Got a few snaps from the trackday.

Had an awesome day, the car handled alot better than I thought it would. It felt very stable through the corners and pulled well all day. I think ill look at rear ARB's just to hold the rear abit more level, the one thing I noticed is that theres more body roll than i'd like on the back.
The brakes didnt fade once, although I did have them smoking at one point.

I did have a couple of problems arise but nothing actually happened on track it was all before. The day before I had a full alignment done along with tracking and a brake bleed.
In doing this I had an abs fault flag up, the front left was shot so had to disable that completely for the track day.
On the motorway on the way to Blyton my handbrake light starting flashing, it didnt effect the braking so ran with it fllashing and need to get a new switch.
As mentioned above I also boiled the power steering fluid but that was more due to over filling.
Since getting home the cars struggled to start so Ive ordered some plugs and will give the car a good service very soon!

All in all I cant wait for the next one!
