hi guys this week i felt like putting my battery in my boot so i can make a better cold air feed to my fillter and free up some space in the bay, i all so took the front bumper off to look were abouts i can pipe a front mount intercooler ( i am not buying a forge one cost thay are way over prised!) i was shocked wen i saw the size of the standed one no wonder it gets heat soak, so just showing you some pics in what i have done thanks liam.

if you catch my drift............................

for the very small gains your going to get i would have left the battery under the bonnet

I've been thinking about putting my battery in the boot too, I just haven't bothered to do it, plus I don't have any power cable I can use to extend from under the bonnet. I think it looks much less cluttered under the bonnet without the battery there, and even more so if you removed the secondary air injection. Damo did a guide on that in the FAQ's section btw.

Also, where your oil cap is.. You can remove the tower that the oil cap is on simly by turning it to the left. You can then put the oil cap flush with the valve cover :D looks much neater in my opinion

if you put a new air intake pipe i could understand but all its doing is sucking up the same air in the engine bay. No difference in the amount of air getting into the bay (unless i am missing something?)

Maybe no difference to the amount getting in, but theres a greater volume of air under the bonnet for the filter to suck up. I've just left the standard cold air feed to my open filter.

year that what am going to do make a big heat sheald and make the intake hose/pipe longer to the front of the car so theres not as much heat sock so no heat can get to it i no there wont be much gains in power but i think it will look awesome wen done i will put a pic up wen i do it.

why not go all out and move the filter down to behind the bumper and remove the fogs for more air in
