Battery went flat now car wont start + new problem

My battery went flat weeks ago with the car being off the road for about a month now, I recharged it and tryed it, wouldn't tick over, was trying too, but nothing.

Stuck some petrol in it to make sure, still nothing, I got one cough, that's it.

Everything was fine before the battery went flat. My mates coming around tomorrow with VAGcom.

I am just posting this for some ideas just in case it doesn't throw up any faults.

Also my oil light is flashing after a few secs of trying to start it up, it has plenty oil in. Could this be connected?

Doing my head in, been off the road so long and its all sorted now and then it does this!

Mine done somthing simillar to this not flat battery but started for a second then went dead with oil light etc...

sorted it by putting it in first and reverse and trying to start it a couple of time s kind of like a jump start and then started it normal again and it started ok...

but smelt a bit of fuel think it may of flooded a bit maybe but been fine ever since...

Check you haven't flooded the spark plugs and maybe check the starter motor??

Fuses for fuel pump? Not sure if we have them on our Cupra's but anything related to fuel relays / pumps etc, check fuses?

I had two blown fuses, replaced them, still nothing.

Hooked it up to VAGcom and it said key battery signal too low so I tryed reseting the code in the key, now the ****ers lost the code!!

So everytime I put the key in the ignition now the alarm goes off. Followed the guide on how to reset the key, no joy. Any ideas?
