Gorebrush
Well, my aerial looks stuffed, so i'll be needing anew one (thread looks worn)
If u know the aerial is bust then get that sorted first would be a good idea, and then if u still need to aplify then sort that out after.

Argh.

The aerial works fine, the thread is a bit duffed though. However, the radio reception is a bit piss poor and i need to amplify it.

HOW DOES ONE AMPLIFY IT?

I'll get there eventually

try asking that then, how do I amp amplify a ariel signal, instead of asking about threads on an aerial. Theres no need to get ratty was only trying to help.

when i had my pioneer dvd unit fitted and said about a built in amplifier i had in the alana, they just fitted an in line amplifier for free :D

my radio reception is pretty crap too, but i rarely listen to the radio anyway. Thought about getting an aerial amp but its just not worth it for the amount i would use it. Strong FM signals are ok but AM is pretty much non existant. Ill stick with my aux in and mp3 player lol

Well the only reason I use FM is to get traffic reports on my way to/from work because they are rather handy, doesn't seem to pick them up anymore..

Either that or i've turned off TA :D

Get a booster, i've got one fitted to my headunit and it gets better signal, go into audio specialist mate.
