Best Cupra Engine Oil ?

Just had mine serviced at a main dealer, they used quantum 5w 30? I thought seat reccomended castrol?? :s

Quantum is VWs 'own brand' oil shall we say. It's fine to use.

Along with castrol edge as long as it meets the 502.000 or 504.000

Seeing as the Ibiza is on 'fixed servicing' intervals either will be fine.

No, my 1.2TSI is on longlife servicing - 504.00 is necessary.

Possibly new Cupras may be too.

I've been told even tho we are not doing long life service we should use 504 oil because of the supercharger. That's why Castrol SLX Professional 5w30 it's the best.

With all this oil issues and now that I got new piston rings I wont be using anything else than Castrol SLX.

(Ofc I hope I don't need to top up due to oil consumption, it should be fixed now)

Even if my cupra was on the long life service I would still have the oil changed every 10k minimum. Just to avoid the cam chain tensioner problems.
