not quite got a leon but a TT 225, same engine....anyways looking for options on the best bump valve for them? its got a baileys one on but not that loud tbh, better than standard. my mate has a forge split R one on his and to me it sounds better but hes not really whats better either, looking for personal opinions of people with experience in uprated DVs

are the 007P quite loud, im sure thts the only my mate had in b4 switching to the split-R and i personally thought the 007P was quieter than my baileys

quiet because they are a recirculating valve not a blow off valve which arnt really no good for bam engines, and with a open cone you still get a nice little whistle noise and dump

I have a Forge 008p on mine and its quite loud. Think its fractionally louder than the 007p

So why has everyone removed the standard dump valve to fit a equally quiet one?
Did your std ones fail or was you seeking bigger boost pressures?

If you want it louder then fit an open cone filter whether its a standard recirc, uprated recirc or atmospheric DV this will without a doubt bring you some noise

With regards to what is the "best" for the 1.8t's i would say 007/008 because they are problem free, alot of people have issues with atmospheric DV on these engines. However some dont have any issues at all with them...Depends what you want i suppose.

Asif you are actually basing which Recirc Valve is best based soley on how loud it is.

If that's all you care about just fit a megaphone next to your valve. :ban:

Exactly, just say you want a louder dump. The stock one performs well, but a lot of people run with 007/008 and a bunch with a splitr / hks ssqv / forge 004 gti. If you want a loud dump, get a bov with dual piston (forge 004/hks ssqv). You might get limp mode, but these are your best bets if yuo want the loud dump.

Im running with a Splitr in default config 70% recirc/30% dump which sounds fine to me.
